Talk to a person
Zayeed is built by a small team. Mail reaches someone who has read the code.
hello@zayeed.org — for anything: a question about the grading grammar, a licence for an estate, an air-gapped deployment, or a bug.
What to put in it
- A marking question? Send the item, the accepted answers, the candidate's response and the mark you expected. The reason shown next to the mark is usually enough for us to answer in one reply.
- An institution enquiry? Roughly how many candidates and sittings a year, which VLE, and whether data has to stay on your estate.
- A bug? Which shell, what you did, what happened. If it is a sync problem, whether the devices had been offline and for how long.
- A security report? Put "security" in the subject; see the disclosure note.
- Blocked by an accessibility barrier? Tell us which assistive technology and where it stopped. Those go to the front of the queue.
Accessibility and marking correctness
Two categories are treated as defects rather than feature requests, whatever tier you are on: something that prevents a candidate from answering, and something that marks an answer wrongly. Both change what happens to a real person's grade.

The fastest way to judge a marker is to try to break it. Run a paper, answer it badly on purpose, and read the reason next to every mark.
